How much does it cost?
Nothing. Browsing festivals, saving favourites and sharing your location with friends is free.
Do I need to download anything?
No. FestApp Major works in the browser of any phone or computer. If you use it often, you can add it to your home screen like any other app.
Do I need an account?
Not to see the programmes. You only need one to add friends and share your location, or to keep your favourites on all your devices.
Who can see my location?
Only the friends you have accepted, and only for the time you choose (1 to 12 hours). After that, your location is deleted. You can stop sharing at any time.
Why isn't my town's festival there?
Because its council or organiser hasn't published it yet. Let them know, or write to us and we will get in touch.
Are the times official?
Each council or organiser publishes them and is responsible for the programme. If you spot a mistake, let them know or write to us.
For councils and organisers
Who can publish a festival?
Councils, festival committees and organising associations. Write to us and we will give you access to the dashboard.
Does it cost the council anything?
No. Publishing and managing festivals on FestApp Major is free for councils and organisers.
What format does the programme need?
Whatever you have: PDF, or photos and scans in JPG, PNG or WebP. Long programmes are processed in parts automatically.
Does the AI make mistakes?
Sometimes, which is why nothing is published without your review. Doubtful events are highlighted so you check them first.
Can I change the programme after publishing it?
Yes. Edit, add or delete events whenever you want and the changes reach the app straight away.
Can I work with other people?
Yes. Invite other people to the festival by e-mail and they can manage it with you.
